๐Ÿ”ด Fix these first
01 Redirected Links
๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป Developer

Some pages link to redirected URLs instead of the real ones. Search engines and users are taking an unnecessary detour instead of landing directly on the right page. The spreadsheet has both, just swap them out.

  1. Open the full list. Each row has the redirected URL and the direct URL to use instead.
  2. Find where the redirected URL is used on the site and replace it with the direct one.
  3. Repeat for all rows in the list.
02 Page Titles
โœ๏ธ Content/SEO

Page titles that are too long, too short, missing, duplicated, or identical to the H1 confuse search engines and reduce click-through rates. The spreadsheet lists each affected page and the specific issue.

  1. Open the full list. Each row has the page URL and the issue type.
  2. Fix the title based on the issue:
    • Too long (over 60 characters): shorten it while keeping the main keyword.
    • Too short (below 30 characters): expand it to be more descriptive.
    • Duplicate: write a unique title specific to that page.
    • Same as H1: add | Saynine after the title, or rewrite it so it differs from the H1 while still being relevant.
  3. Repeat for all rows in the list.
03 H1 Tags
โœ๏ธ Content/SEO

H1 tags that are not properly set leave search engines without a clear signal of what the page is about, which can hurt rankings and relevance. The spreadsheet lists each affected page and the specific issue.

  1. Open the full list. Each row has the page URL and the issue type.
  2. Fix it based on the issue:
    • Missing: add an H1 that clearly describes the main topic of the page.
    • Duplicate: rewrite it to be unique and specific to that page.
    • Over 70 characters: shorten it while keeping the main keyword and meaning.
  3. Repeat for all rows in the list.

04 Meta Descriptions
โœ๏ธ Content/SEO

Meta descriptions that are not properly set can reduce click-through rates and leave search engines to decide what to show in results, which is rarely in your favor. The spreadsheet lists each affected page and the specific issue.

  1. Open the full list. Each row has the page URL and the issue type.
  2. Fix it based on the issue:
    • Missing: write a clear summary of what the page is about.
    • Over 155 characters: trim it down while keeping the core message.
  3. Repeat for all rows in the list.
05 Images Missing Alt Text
โœ๏ธ Content/SEO

Images without alt text are invisible to search engines and inaccessible to screen readers, which hurts both rankings and accessibility. The spreadsheet lists each affected image and the page it was found on.

  1. Open the full list. Each row has the image and the page it appears on.
  2. Go to that page and add a short, descriptive alt text that reflects what the image shows.
  3. Keep it natural and avoid keyword stuffing.
  4. Repeat for all rows in the list.
06 Oversized Images
๐ŸŽจ Designer

Large images slow down page load speed, which directly impacts user experience and search rankings. The spreadsheet lists each oversized image and the page it was found on.

  1. Open the full list. Each row has the image and the page it appears on.
  2. Compress it to under 100 KB, export as WebP, and re-upload to your CMS.
  3. Repeat for all rows in the list.
